Chris, forgive me for forming a bad first impression of you and Joe.

I can't imagine why I would presume anything about the two of you. You certainly haven't been presumptous with me. I appreciate the warm welcome and your continually following me around, from thread to thread and nitpicking every :fu:ing thing I type.

Thanks for yet another nitpick, Tim. "We're the Good Ole' Boys. . ." Do you know all the words in that one?

Geez, boys and girls -- has someone put something in the drinking water? There are no tests here at Film-tech so maybe we can all take a deep breath, relax a bit and step away from the testy stick.

A new guy won't make friends easily in this forum by writing insults like this:
quote: Karl Borowski
Yeah, it's prefectly normal for a 35-y.o. to be plugging away at a video game [uhoh]
That's the point where the thread began to degenerate. And it was really a "me too" pile on response following something Joe Tommassello wrote about not buying animated movies anymore. IMHO, Karl brought the flack he's getting onto himself.

"Perfectly normal"...
Normal is a setting on a washing machine.
Speaking of which, I may be buying a dryer soon.

Ah. So because I'm not warm and fuzzy with you means that I'm presumptuous? Come on. You can do better than that.

And I am not following you thread-to-thread. You happen to post in quite a few threads and I happen to read through the new posts. That's not following you; that's following the board.

Doesn't stop me from having midterms not too long ago. [Smile]

Err, no. How does that explain what a "sound tower" is? [Confused] And, that is a nitpick, how?

EDIT... I just saw Joe's post. You're talking about sound racks? I thought you were referring to some kind of home entertainment fad that had become a new sub-culture or something.

I'm saying that adult video game players are in the same group as the sound tower junkies.

As if most of us have any control over what goes into our sound racks.
This is my post number 666.
I feel compelled to check the Itunes music store and see if Waylon Jennings theme from Dukes of Hazard is available for download...

One's PP here is not measured by any ruler, but by what they post.

OBTW: PP = personal persona...NOT a penis! [Wink] [uhoh] [Razz] [Big Grin]

You're right. I don't make any sense.
Ironically, that's made the most sense of anything you've written since you got here.

Gosh...that sure sounds familiar...wait...yes...it's coming back to me now...

quote: Karl Borowski
I am pretty sure that you and Richard are being fucking dickheads and following me around from thread to thread.

Paranoid much?

I love how you've toned down your posts from the one just above to the later one. Of course, in your world, it seems spelling 'fucking' now as ':fu:ing' is a suitable change in your attitude.

News flash...it ain't.

If only Andy Summers were here, he'd have the best response, something like: "THX WOW!"

Karl.

If you're going to light fires, expect to get pissed on.

We are ALL professionals here, and this kind of baiting does no one any good.

This reminds me of that guy who was around here about this time last year. He was all over the place with contradictions, contentiousness, and paranoia... and he sure seemed to have a nack for pissing people off.

Well, he either got banned, or got tired of trying to fool the experts and went away. [scream] He didn't last long.

On track:

It wasn't my own money, but I (and the rest of our county fair board) bought approximately $60,000 worth of talent for our 2010 fair today. (Can't say names...waiting for signed contracts)

July 22-25. It's one of the best little county fairs in the state if not the country, and we don't charge for gate admission or parking!
