Pretty interesting stuff. The biggest change is from the 10s to the 20s; I'm guessing the increasing popularity of "talkies"(1927 onward) probably had a lot to do with that.
The biggest influence on the time would be the actual introduction of the "feature" film. The 10's were the late period of the Nickelodeons. The average film was 10 and 20 mins. If what he was really compiling was feature times, there were just so few "features" to significantly compile. And a "feature" film could be as short as 45mins in the teens.

Nonetheless, an amusing exercise.

How the term "HARLEY HOG" Came About! (true story)

Back in the 1920's a Harley-Davidson Dirttrack Racer named "Ray Weishaar" use to bring a Baby Pig to the Races as both a Mascot and Good Luck Charm. Ray would Parade his little Friend on his Fuel Tank before and after a Race. The Name "Harley Hog" began to be heard widespread and the rest is History [beer]

Vaguely related to the "Doorbuster" in Brad's spoof Target flyer, a local diner started offering "locally sourced" opossum burgers a few months back. Not a very smart advertising strategy - the idea of eating something that had itself been eating on the freeway verges of Colton and San Bernardino would be enough to turn anyone vegetarian, even if the prospect of eating vermin hadn't achieved that to start with.

The "gifts you'll only use once" raised a giggle, too - we have both a juicer and a bread machine gathering dust in a kitchen cabinet. They've been used a little more than once, but not much. It takes as long to disassemble and wash the components afterwards as it does to make the bread and the juice, if not longer.
