James Westbrook Phenomenal Film Handler Posts: 1133 From: Lubbock, Texas, Usa Registered: Mar 2006 posted 02-04-2011 11:13 AM                     In my driveway is a 1982 Chevrolet S-10 pickup, regular cab and bed, 2.8 Litre V-6. 200,000 plus miles on it. Last November I traded in my 1983 Chrysler Cordoba to get my very first new car ever: 2011 Nissan Versa hatchback. Base model with automatic transmission. getting 25mpg overall, but have done over 34 in the highway. The color is what Nissan calls "Red Alert." Almost 1300 miles on it so far. I plan to run it into the ground like I have done the Chrysler and the S-10. The last car I bought was in 1992 when I got a Acura Vigor. I bought the Vigor only 6 months after I purchased a beautiful black Mercedes 190e but someone smashed into the car in a parking lot and almost totaled. It was at a repair shop for almost four months and when I got it back, I did not feel comfortable driving it so I traded it in for the Acura. The Acura served me very well for a little over twelve years until it 'died'. Just when I was in the market for a used car because I did not want to buy new vehicles anymore, my cousin gave me her 1992 Mitsubishi Galant that only needed a new transmission. Otherwise the car was fine. I got the new transmission and the car was operating perfectly after the installation was done. For the past six years up until now the car has been running great. Except for some necessary repair work from time to time, the upkeep of the car has been very manageable. It also help when I do not use the car too much for long distance driving because of my preference for using Honolulu's award winning public transportation system when I do not feel it is necessary to drive. =Claude  |  IP: Logged Bruce McGee Phenomenal Film Handler Posts: 1776 From: Asheville, NC USA... Nice heavy front-wheel drive car that was great to drive during the recent ice storms here in the mountains! 1984 Mercedes 190E... Nice daily driver, but horrible in the snow. 1983 Ford F-150 2WD Automatic with a 351W V8 engine. I drive a 2004 Chevy Malibu Maxx (the hatchback). It has been very good to me. My wife says that I may never buy another care unless it has seat heaters. My child likes the TV/DVD player in the back seat. It is governed to 105 I found out in Nevada. It has headers, 3.42:1 gears, intake, 3" exhaust, suspension mods, etc. etc. 100k 2004 Yamaha FZ6 is my sunny day toy, bought this one new. Has 10k miles on it. 1992 Ford Ranger 4x4 is for getting firewood on my property or just tooling around behind my house. 200k and is a piece of junk, but always starts and takes any abuse I throw at it.
