I had loaned out my "Yamaha Sound Reinforcement Guide" (I think I have the title right, but it was a great book) and never got it back. And I had returned a great book on electrical design to a friend, who later that month simply threw it away. My ex-parner, , wanted to buy me out & become the sole prop. In 2007,he paid me 2000.00, but still owes a balance of 1800.00. A certain film festival owes me over $3k for expenses, labor, and equipment rental from late May/early June. The invoice is nearly 60 days overdue, and they haven't bothered to write or call to explain the situation or set up a payment schedule. (I am in the phone book and have worked for them for the previous two years and they should have no trouble finding me.) I believe that their intentions are honorable, but that they are short of funds at the moment. If you are strict with that...and send out the interest invoice 30-days from the due date...you'd be amazed how fast an "honorable" person will get into contact with you.
