John Bentley, Tropicanna Theater, Las Vegas. We shipped a UPS COD last year and got a bogus check. He did the same thing to a guy in central California who sold him $11,000 worth of equipment plus TC Costins who got stuck for $6,000 in screens. We have filed with the Las Vegas DA's hot check department but have heard nothing yet. David Mann works with him so beware of these guys. I don't know if this question I have should go here or not. If not, my apologizes and can be moved if necessary to avoid confusion. Anyway, last night when closing the booth and cleaning lenses, I saw a CPI Lens Cleaning Tissue and I was like, "Oh No! Not that dreaded CPI." Anyway, my question is this, what do all of you think of the CPI Lens Cleaning Tissue? And, should I use it to clean all 10 of my lenses? After reading the posts, I don't trust CPI at all and never will. No matter what you use it would be like an abrasive on the coating. Kleenex and paper towels are out even if wet. Paper towel is way too abrasive and Kleenex sometimes has softening or scenting in it which can actually leave a film on the lens itself. When I worked at Canon USA we used a 50/50 mix of MEK and Alcohol with Kimwipes (Not For Plastic Lenses!!!). We were cleaning 50,000 dollar TV zooms in the factory repair center aside from the normal every day camera lenses... Clean in a circular motion starting at the center and working towards the outside. She goes around to small town single screen theatres and sweet talks them into doing pre show advertising. She then proceeds to produce a less than stellar pre show and make up expenses so the theatre gets little to nothing. (She sold over $35,000 in ads and we got around $2,000 or so., we were told $15,000-20,000) We have since won a lawsuit with her, and conveniently she has disappeared. Anyone with any information on her whereabouts or assets, could you please contact me? They have never been a problem in the past and are big companies, so I try to give them the benefit of the doubt.
