Unless it comes out today, which is highly doubtful, I'm betting the official list comes out Monday in conjunction with the Chicken Little session at ShowEast.

Chicken Little is confirmed to be playing at the following Mexican theaters Nov. 4:

Cinepolis Plaza Universidad
Mexico City

Cinemex Mundo
Mexico City

MM Cinemas Humberto Lobos Theatre
Monterrey

A fourth Mexican location is yet to be determined. The Mexican run of Chicken Little will not be using Dolby Digital Cinema servers, but rather QuVIS dual-stream servers. The deal is being put together by Moving Image Technologies. I just checked with QuVIS and all four systems will be using REAL D.

And here's the official one sheet poster from Disney for the U.S. market:

That poster is wrong. "Disney Digital 3-D" should be smaller if it is going to fit in "Dolby Digital Cinema".

The Rave Motion Pictures Polaris 18 completed the install today.

So far the interest has been high from customers, but we will see how it goes for future releases.

We've got our door guys wearing the lens-less promo 3D glasses we got in, and from what I hear, we are getting plenty of customer questions. So, we're pitching this thing like crazy.

The exhaust fan duct has been installed, and we're all reading up on the Dolby Show Store and Player operator manual and all that fun stuff. It seems like a neat system.

You know, it's really too bad that I'm not actually looking forward to the actual movie. The trailer really turned me off. Dancing CG characters are so boring.

And "Disney Digital 3D" is trademarked, eh? [Roll Eyes]

I've been studying up on the manuals myself. The automation for this setup is too cool. You can program the entire cue system, ads, trailers, and start times using an LCD panel and keyboard. You can even program in all the start times in advance for as long as you want.

Oh the horror...timers! [Razz]

Funny, we have all of those features on our fabulously sexy CA21 automations running real FILM too. I'll bet the Dolby stuff can't program volume changes though. [Wink]

Can this thing use an existing automation system (e.g. CA21), or does it only work with its own internal automation system?

Actually, I bet that it could do sound level changes, assuming that it has an unused contact closure. That could be used to operate either Brad's remote-fader trick or to select a different format (with fader setting assigned) on a CP500 or 650.

So let me get this straight: You can program digital trailer content onto real FILM? [Wink]

Yes that's right. But we don't have to do the digital to film conversion. The labs do it for us, since all trailers these days are from a digital master anyway.

Stupid "digitial" buzzword. [Roll Eyes]
