There was a piece on the local news tonight about Carmike switching to digital. For a change, the city manager was actually interviewed. He said, "We played the movie 'Titanic' for seven months. If you saw 'Titanic' in May, you didn't see it the way James Cameron intended it, because it came out in December, and the film gets scratched, it gets dirty, it gets worn out."
Translated: We mangle film! We don't clean our equipment!
(To be fair, if all Carmike managers were as caring of their presentation as Dustin here obviously is, the company would get a lot more respect.)
