The Odeon in Bournemouth, screen #1 the carpet sticks to my shoes as well it smells too, and I’m sure it’s crawling towards the exit door, for some summer air fragrance. [puke]

..people who think that their home theatre sound system is "perfectly tuned" and ours at the theatre aren't working correctly..

"Hey! your side speakers aren't working like mine at home do...!!" (Dumbass, didn't anyone tell you that in a dialog scene, only the sound comes from the center channel - not from all speakers like your POS Sony Pro-Logic system puts out..???)

(only if they knew what REALLY when on upstairs..then I think they'd would shut up for a while...)

Badly Timed Traffic Lights
Hoo!! Yeah!! I second that one!! [thumbsup]

There is a section of road here on Peach Street that's all F-ed up like that! (Brad, that's where you drove through to go to Quaker Steak & Lube.)

The lights are all out of time so people start to try to beat the yellow light. Then the light goes red and they are stuck in the intersection when the light goes green for the other direction. Of course, all the people who had to wait for the idiots who tried to beat the yellow feel cheated so THEY try to beat the yellow light and the cycle starts all over again!

Traffic on this section of Peach Street can be nothing more than a big giant snarl of cars during certain times of the day. The city doesn't seem to be able to do anything about it, nor do they seem to care. I think they are plain ignorant! (Igg-no-ritt!)

I say the solution is two-fold:

1) Retime the lights properly. If they can be syncronized, all's the better. (With today's technology there's no reason EVERY traffic light can't be sync-ed!)

2) Install Red Light Cams! Institute a one month grace period whereby violators simply get a warning via mail and notice that, after a certain date, there will be NO MORE MERCY. After the expiration of the grace period... BAM!! Anybody caught with even one wheel over the white line gets whacked with a summons!

That'll solve the problem! [evil]

Traffic lights ARE synchronized in Louisville. They are synchronized to inconvenience the maximum number of people. (I know it's finally my turn when I see 25 or more cars coming that will have to stop. The I (one car) can go.)

A supernova is a Chevrolet from 1976 with a cherry paint job and shiny rims.

Bugged by traffic lights? Don't come to 'Vegas then. We are the center of the universe when it comes to bad signal timing. The lights here must've been timed by committee--no one person could be that stupid and survive to job-holding age.

People who are loud, stupid, ignorant, flakey, arrogant, aggressive, or mean-spirited or any combination of those provoke the worst reactions in me. One of the reasons I've always liked jobs such as projectionist or pilot is that I can work alone, or with a small number of other people that generally don't grate on my nerves. Being a "team member" these days sucks.

Not to mention that you have to be totally PC or risk getting canned for some innocent remark. I've seen it happen but thankfully, not to me.

BTW, I thought Virginia held the record on stupid traffic signal timing. They don't think that a 180 second cycle is inordinate here. Never mind if there is no cross traffic. Just shut up and wait 24/7 and then proceed to the next red light.
