I had never heard of it until this forum came about. Todd-AO was HUGE with the audience from 1955 on 15 years onwards. The name was associated with the biggest movies and the biggest stars, especially with Fox titles. It´s probably a lost film. I´d be interested to know if anyone has a print of it. That goes for "Man in the 5th Dimension" too. I'm always astounded by the absolute perfection of that movie. But in particular, I think the sound mix is the best I've ever heard. It does such a good job of creating a sense of space. It's too bad that Rydstrom isn't designing sound for movies anymore. So now that a few years have passed since this thread was originated, what are people's thoughts on the best mixes of all time?  |  IP: Logged Sam D.
