Some very creative use of both deep bass and surrounds. As for Jurasic Park, most audience complaints about sound in a film ever award! or the forced to turn up centre channel bullshit award. Quite refreshing to see (hear). Honestly though, I can't remember as many memorable mixes on films made since the last post. Lately, I feel like most mixes just aren't as smooth. Inception is one of the better ones that has recently been released, but certainly not as memorable as something like True Lies, Jurassic Park, etc. Any thoughts? However, having just watched Toy Story 3, I was less impressed than I've been with their past movies. The Dark Knight has to rank at the top of my list of recent movies that had really impressive sound mixes. It's not a movie but i would have to say it has the best mix iv ever heard. The last song seven bridges road. Blows me away if you listen to the channels one by one every member of the band has his own channl. It's like there standing around you. When that concert was recorded every input on the soundboard was recorded to it's own track. That gave DTS full control over what every channel would play.
