I paid $3.50 a gallon tonight in Portland to fill my car with "plus". Regular was priced at 3.41, and Premium was priced at a whopping 3.62 a gallon. That converts to about $1.83 per litre. The price has gone up almost a full dollar since January. And that's despite the fact oil is still trading in the $60-$65 per barrel range. I really don't pay attention, especially since I pay with a credit card. I just pull up, pump, and GTFO. I normally fill up every 100 miles or so to minimize the shock, even with a car that averages about 24 mpg. Yesterday night, though, I learned of a gas station in San Diego County selling gas for seven bucks a gallon. Granted, it's in a rich-person's enclave with a high concentration of Ferraris and the like and owners who have no problem forking over that kind of cash for 100-octane gas to make their Prancing Horses gallop faster...  |  IP: Logged John Wilson Film God Posts: 5438 From: Sydney, Australia. Now that I am over 65 years of age, I qualify for a senior citizen bus pass for $30.00 a year on Honolulu's excellent award winning transit system. Because I now ride the bus a lot, what would cost me about $250.00 for regular unleaded gas a month if I used my car, is only about $50.00.
