Speaking of restaurants, what's up with the current bit of being "trendy" (the proper word for that is CHEAP) with the acoustics? Some restaurants seem to go out of their way to do nothing but have hard surfaces EVERYWHERE and then they play their music far louder than it needs to be over SHITTY speakers that accentuate the midrange frequencies (the same frequencies that people are trying to talk on). So of course everyone has to talk loudly to be heard by the other people at their table (that are only 3 feet away) and then everyone has to talk louder than the other people nearby so they can be heard, etc. It never ends! Its a domino effect of noise assault.
Oh and did I mention I hate places that serve Pepsi products? NOBODY likes Pepsi better than Coke (at least not anyone that has taste buds). The ONLY reason people serve Pepsi is because the Pepsi company will suck on their customer's asses until they sparkle giving them free towers, free service, free this, free that...and the cheap business owners out there go for it, yet they still charge $2-4 for that soda that cost them pennies. At the end of the year, unless it is a small mom and pop store, the difference in serving real Coke products amounts to nothing.
Oh and did I ever mention my love for the assholes that bring BABIES onto airplanes? Yes SCREAMING, SLOBBERING, PUKING, CRYING BABIES in an enclosed space that it is literally IMPOSSIBLE to get away from!!! ![[Mad]](mad.gif)

True. I've seen at least a few Hooters servers that would have trouble filling a B-cup bra. On the other hand, often the ones lacking in the "chesticles" dept. had bodies and faces that more than made up for their lack of bust size.
If there's one thing I'll be visually critical about when it comes to Hooters girls, or any seemingly "fake and bake" lady, it's this: too many of them have gone way overboard on the tanning bed visits.
Maybe I'm different in how I see beauty in women. I find nothing wrong at all with a woman who has a very fair complexion. I'm talking Nicole Kidman fair. Pale. One of my ex girlfriends is a true red head whose skin is so fair and sensitive she has to really limit her time out in the sun. Nevertheless, her hair and skin color is part of what attracted me to her in the first place.
Sure, tan skin can be sexy when that tan color is natural. If I happen to be dating a lady is who black, Asian, Indian, etc. that darker skin will just be one of the things to enjoy.
Tan skin isn't something that's very natural to white people. Maybe that's one reason why some of us get skin cancer after too much time in the sun or in tanning beds. I don't mind it at all if someone wants to get a little sun (or a little time in a tanning bed) to merely tone down that pale "glow" when Spring arrives. But it's another thing if the person is literally trying to tan themselves into another racial category.
The end result of too much tanning: rough, leathery, wrinkly skin. That shit does not look good on a woman crowning age 30 (or well past it) who happens to be waiting tables at Hooters™.

We sold both Pepsi and Coke for about a year (1980 or so) and Pepsi kicked the shit out of Coke saleswise. So we went all Pepsi but have a lot of other options for Pepsi-haters.
Last Christmas my brother-in-law Ron swore that there was almost no difference between Pepsi and Coke. Nonsense, I said: I can tell the difference in a second. My nephews (mostly Pepsi drinkers) also said they could easily tell the difference. So we ran a taste test.
Cans of Coke and Pepsi were kept in the same refrigerator overnight so they'd be the same temperature. Ron marked paper cups with numbers, and he did the pouring, keeping track of what was in each numbered cup. We each had four cups to drink from, two with Pepsi and two with Coke. Six of us (me, the four nephews, and Ron's wife) took the test. My wife verified that the numbers really did indicate the proper brand of soda in the cups (not that we suspected Ron would cheat, but you can't be too careful with important stuff like this). We would drink from the cup, write down the number on the cup and what we thought was in the cup.
The result: Nobody had 100% correct answers. The best anybody had, including me, was 50%. Some people had 100% wrong answers. To this day I don't know WHY that is, because there is still a big difference to me when I drink one or the other...but maybe it's more psychological than anything.

We have one of those "hard surface" restarants and it is annoying as hell. And clearly designed that way to make the place feel full, even if it is not. Amusingly, it is not a sports bar - it's major audience is the Junior League lunch crowd in their tennis gear.
Of course, I have to deal with the hard bouncy surface noise everyday at the theatre has we have a round lobby with plaster walls. Get more than three people talking and it sounds like a really big crowd.
Oh, and as far as Pepsi goes, we had coke for years, until the local distributor was bought up by a regional bottler and they jettisoned all of their small accounts. They refused to service us, so screw em. Pepsi been berry, berry good to us. I don't drink bubbly sugar water anyway, so it all tastes like crap to me ![[Wink]](wink.gif)
