I figured you were talking about a specific incident or two about discovering prints that were scratched big-time by others. I just twisted the way you worded it to make it look different. [Wink]

Perhaps some code could be written into every post Joe makes to solve this once and for all. After every period, question mark or exclaimation point there could be automatically inserted a [Wink]

. Thus the earlier post would have not confused Karl.

I've re-inserted the said post as it would then have looked using the new process.

I just caught this one. Yeah, prints with more than two scratches piss me off as well. Just one or two scratches is perfectly acceptable by any standard, though. I doubt anyone has ever run a print that didn't have at least one scratch, even brand new. After all, it is film. We advertise on our marquee outside "Never any more than two scratches in any given movie!". The crowds love us.

John,
I say no...let Joe post as he has for the last 10 years...it's all funny. He has a great sense of humor and cleaver insights to many things.

Just because some F.N.G. doesn't "get it" and wants to spout-off about so called "slams", without reading and/or observing the history and personality of other members for awhile before they yap, doesn't mean they should be offended...or pardoned.

I suggest they keep their mouth shut for awhile and observe whether the person posting (such as Joe) is being sarcastic and/or humorous and in good humor. DO YOUR HOMEWORK BEFORE YOU YAP!

OBTW: I also many times don't add Smileys to my posts...it's much funnier without them and keeps all guessing! [Razz]

We ate lunch at a restaurant today.

What makes me go insane: When a guy walks up to our table while we are chewing and says, "How's it going?" And then just stands there. GO AWAY WE'RE EATING!

Nearly every single time I eat out, the waiter/waitress swings by as we are chewing asking "How is everything?" or something of that nature. I think they do this on purpose so that you can't respond.

Hey, if people are knowingly going to ask you questions while your mouth is full, the least you can do is respond in kind.

I was on a job once, and my boss decided we should go to Hooter's for lunch "for the wings." What a terrible restaurant. I had never felt the need to go there, and now I know I was justified in my total disinterest, contempt even. I suppose if I were some sleazy weirdo, I could get excited about the place, but I think it is extremely weird how the waitress sits at your table and clumsily tries to relate to whatever you're saying, while sticking her chest out as much as possible.
