Ok, first of all, know that I am not gay, but often I would be hard pressed to prove it. Here is why...
I root for football teams based upon the coordination and coloring of their uniforms.
I love to shop. I don't mean for tools, I mean things like linens and drapes.
Most women that are considered on the beautiful side I could never muster up enough "umph" to do anything with that.
I coordinate my outfits and never wear the same set more than once every two weeks.
It takes me hours to size up a single shirt with slacks before purchase at the store.
I flip out my pinky when I drink.
I find many different men attractive.
I cuddle after sex.
I snuggle every other time.
I coordinate my wifes outfits.
Almost all of my friends are either gay men or straight women.
I voted for George Bush because his ties match so well with his shoes.
Everyone at work gives me a hard time, in a humorous way. I have been hit on so many times, and I am always flattered. All of that aside, I am most definately Hetero. One of my best friends says it just comes with being raised by my mother as my dad was military and out of the country alot as I grew up.
Oh yeah, my wife is going into the Army as soon as she wraps up her Masters degree. It's all backwards, but I just love it. I used to think it would have been a lot easier if I was just gay, but no matter how cute the guy is, I just can't go there. Just love the boobies!

quote: Phil Hill Thanks Dave for perpetuating and promoting stereotypes of gay people in your post.
And here I have blown my best chance at Mr. Snuggly Bear!
For the record I grew up in a household where homosexuality was decried as a sin, with "so called" freinds that went out on weekends to beat up "faggots". This was all I was ever introduced too.
Yet I was smart enough to know that there was just something wrong with this way of thinking and behaving.
Men were tought to play with trucks and guns and wear "manly" clothes and beat up fags and rape women. Any dissent was not tolerated, and anyone with a different point of view would be tortured and beaten. Sometimes even by their own family.
I can't tell you if all of that forced me into a life of boobie worship or not, however I absolutely love that society in many parts of our country has accepted the less "manly" traits of drinking a beer like it was a cup of tea, shopping for drapes instead of curtains, wearing clothes that look good instead of dressing like a pig, and so on.
I learned to accept my own iffeminite traits, and even my own admiration of the human body, regardless of gender. 25 years ago that would have gotten me left for dead, yes right here even in Utah. But now it is seen as kitchy and cute.
As far as perpetuation goes, give me a break! I am sick to death of "stereotype" as much as I am sick of "synergy"! It's an easy word to take a defense where none was warranted because no attack occurred.
When one of my co-workers says to me "what is with you italians and moving your arms around so much?", I don't get all bent out of shape and claim some kind of anything. I laugh and run with it, because they were trying to connect with me, not insult me.
I never intended to insult anyone with my post, and really I do apologize if it yanked your chain in any one direction or another.
And here I was thinking that you were a rational thinker 3-4 percent of the time. My existance is crushed.
