Back in '72when this movie came out, I had to do tons of sub booth for a theatre that had this movie since the matinee operators were underage highschool kids and weren't allowed to run "X" rated movies. But, I do remember the setup: Peerless lamphouses with the dichrome mirrors, larger carbons (had to step up the 'gennie' for those larger carbons), and those split lens anamporphic attachments to stretch the pair of vertical retangle images to square (1.33/1) on the screen.Why the split lens to merge the two eyes very close, but still offset together for usage with polarized glasses. we didn't bother with the glasses to do changeovers being that the print ran in so many venues, that the original cues were oblerated with either 'x' marks, scratches clear across the print, and even with a paper punch. Meh for the film, but what do you think is meant by dialog reel. Soundtrack negative. Pre-composite print, if they ever bothered doing that. Or just plain wrongly identified. The same guys got a lot of 35mm ads for sale, so hes not totally new to film. This is a pretty primitive silent projector. However the loaded, and included reel of film looks a little bit like deteriorating nitrate. However this Acme looks like it is in absolutely exquisite condition. Edit: Jonathan, I like how his auction says -No Reserve! If it is shiney, even better. Tube fanatics abound and they are literally possesed. We cleaned off a Dynaco tube amp for a photo shoot to get a pic for our website. If I put it on ebay, I expect to make enough money to buy a Dolby CP650, a new set of surround speakers and a four-day holiday in Accapulco. Look at this beauty.
