Of the theatres in the list, here are the ones that I believe to have some sort of pre-existing 70mm capability (corrections welcome): California - Oakland - Grand Lake Theatre California - Sacramento - Tower Theatre (? - no--see below) California - San Francisco - Sundance Kabuki Cinemas Illinois - Chicago - Music Box Maryland - Silver Spring - AFI Silver Theatre Cultural Center Massachusetts - Brookline - Coolidge Corner Massachusetts - Somerville - Somerville Theatre New York - NYC - AMC 84th St. 6 (?) New York - NYC - AMC Loews Lincoln Square (?) New York - NYC - AMC Loews Orpheum 7 (?) Registered: Jun 99 posted 12-14-2015 02:25 PM                     The ArcLight Hollywood is attached to the original Pacific Cinema Dome, they share the same ticket counter but have a separate concession stand. The ArcLight has beautiful large auditoriums with good size screens and solid projection (Kinoton), it is a true Hollywood moviegoing destination. I saw Inherent Vice there in 70mm last year, it looked and sounded great. The only thing that troubles me about the engagement is whether ArcLight settled their troubles with IATSE 33. In April, they had to cancel a showing of 2001: A Space Odyssey in 70mm because of a job action. Thanks for the notes about the Tower; I updated the original post. Assuming that all of the BL&S installs are platter-only, the number of reel-to-reel prints will be remarkably small for this release. The Music Box, AFI Silver, Coolidge Corner, Somerville, Alamo, and the Hollywood and maybe a couple of others (maybe in NYC) are the only ones that I can think of that will need them. I don't know the deal with the Cinebistro, but I assume that the equipment was installed temporarily for Interstellar.
