President Clinton plans to tape a phone message that will be sent to voters' homes urging people to vote Democrat.

Apparently you'll know it's Clinton's message because it starts with, What are you wearing? [Big Grin]

The political candidate returned to his hotel room exhausted, but his wife refused to comfort him because she was more tired than he.

Infuriated, he demanded to know what she had been doing while he was making speeches.

"Listening to them dear," sighed the weary woman. [Big Grin]

The Presidential Prayer Team is currently urging us to: "Pray for the President as he seeks wisdom on how to legally codify the definition of marriage. Pray that it will be according to Biblical principles. With any forces insisting on variant definitions of marriage, pray that God's Word and His standards will be honored by our government."

Any religious person believes prayer should be balanced by action. So here, in support of the Prayer Team's admirable goals, is a proposed Constitutional Amendment to codify marriage on biblical principles:

A. Marriage in the United States shall consist of a union between one man and one or more women. (Gen29:17-28; II Sam 3:2-5)

B. Marriage shall not impede a man's right to take concubines, in addition to his wife or wives. (II Sam5:13; I Kings 11:3; II Chron 11:21)

C. A marriage shall be considered valid only if the wife is a virgin. If the wife is not a virgin, she shall be executed. (Deut 22:13- 21)

D. Marriage of a believer and a non-believer shall be forbidden. (Gen24:3; Num 25:1-9; Ezra 9:12; Neh10:30)

E. Since marriage is for life, neither this Constitution nor the constitution of any State, nor any state or federal law, shall be construed to permit divorce. (Deut 22:19; Mark 10:9)

F. If a married man dies without children, his brother shall marry the widow. If he refuses to marry his brother's widow or deliberately does not give her children, he shall pay a fine of one shoe. (Gen.38:6- 10; Deut 25:5-10) [Big Grin]

I always love when politicians try to be all things to all people.

This week,John Kerry bought a hunting license in Ohio to appeal to gun owners and hunters. Then he went to a Catholic mass to appeal to Catholics.

He also campaigned in Appalachia.

He told the crowd that his wife Teresa was his first cousin. [Big Grin]

Sources close to the Osama bin Laden household say that there is "trouble in paradise," and a recent exclusive interview with one of Osama's four wives, Martha bin Laden, appears to bear this out.

"The world knows how evil Osama is," Martha bin Laden says. "What they don't know is how cheap he is."

The exclusive Martha bin Laden interview appears in the new issue of Angry People, a popular Kandahar magazine.

In it, Martha bin Laden says that "the day the allied bombers knocked out all of the power plants in Kandahar was the happiest day in Osama's life, because he knew it would bring down our electric bill."

All in all, the picture Martha bin Laden paints of life with her notorious husband falls far short of the glamour she and her fellow wives-Rhonda bin Laden, Barbara bin Laden, and Edith bin Laden-thought they were marrying into.

"I don't want people to think we're a bunch of gold-diggers or anything," Debbie says. "But when you marry a millionaire, you don't think you're going to spend the rest of your life crouching in caves." [Big Grin]

The U.S. Navy found a wireless video camera hidden in the women's shower on a ship docked in San Diego. It's no shock.

What do you expect from the branch of the service that named four destroyers and an aircraft carrier after the Kennedy family? [Big Grin]

POLITICAL JABS

"The Kerry campaign announced today they will have ten thousand lawyers at the polls in battleground states. Ten thousand lawyers. Well, let's hope you don't slip and fall on the sidewalk outside a polling place. You could be buried in business cards!'

-- Jay Leno

"You know, I love how rich candidates try to talk about this. Do you notice how these politicians try to relate to the everyday voter? Like today, John Kerry was talking to some union workers about the rising price of gas. And he said it's so expensive, he had to raise his mainsail all the way up and tack back and forth to get back to his summer home in Nantucket."

"Pastoral Candidates" ...Think about this before you vote Nov. 2nd...What if the one here who seemed to be the best had been elected? The following is a confidential report on several candidates being considered for our church leader.

Adam: Good man but problems with his wife. Also one reference told of how his wife and he enjoy walking nude in the woods.

Noah: Former pastorate of 120 years with not even one convert. Prone to unrealistic building projects.

Abraham: Though the references reported wife-swapping, the facts seem to show he never slept with another man's wife, but did offer to share his own wife with another man.

Joseph: A big thinker, but a braggart, believes in dream- interpreting, and has a prison record.

Moses: A modest and meek man, but poor communicator, even stuttering at times. Sometimes blows his stack and acts rashly. Some say he left an earlier church over a murder charge.

David:_The most promising leader of all until we discovered the affair he had with his neighbor's wife.

Solomon: Great preacher but our parsonage would never hold all those wives.

Elijah: Prone to depression. Collapses under pressure.

Elisha: Reported to have lived with a single widow while at his former church.

Hosea: A tender and loving pastor but our people could never handle his wife's occupation.

Deborah: Strong leader and seems to be anointed, but she is female.

Jeremiah: Emotionally unstable, alarmist, negative, always lamenting things, reported to have taken a long trip to bury his underwear on the bank of a foreign river.

Isaiah: On the fringe? Claims to have seen angels in church. Has trouble with his language.

Jonah: Refused G~d's call into ministry until he was forced to obey by getting swallowed up by a great fish. He told us the fish later spit him out on the shore near here. We hung up.

Amos: Too backward and unpolished. With some seminary training he might have promise, but has a hang-up against wealthy people-- might fit in better in a poor congregation.

Melchizedek: Great credentials at current work place, but where does this guy come from? No information on his resume about former work records. Every line about parents was left blank and he refused to supply a birth date.

John: Says he is a Baptist, but definitely doesn't dress like one. Has slept in the outdoors for months on end, has a weird diet, and provokes denominational leaders.

Peter: Too blue collar. Has a bad temper-even has been known to curse. Had a big run-in with Paul in Antioch. Aggressive, but a loose cannon.

Paul: Powerful CEO type leader and fascinating preacher. However, short on tact, unforgiving with younger ministers, harsh and has been known to preach all night.

James & John: Package deal preacher & associate seemed good at first, but found out they have an ego problem regarding other fellow workers and seating positions. Threatened an entire town after an insult. Also known to try to discourage workers who didn't follow along with them.

Timothy: Too young!

Methuselah: Too old . . . WAY too old!

Jesus: Has had popular times, but once his church grew to 5000 he managed to offend them all, and then this church dwindled down to twelve people. Seldom stays in one place very long. And, of course, he's single.

Judas: His references are solid. A steady plodder. Conservative. Good connections. Knows how to handle money. We're inviting him to preach this Sunday. Possibilities here. [Big Grin]

In the 2002 race for Michigan Attorney General the two candidates are Republican Mike Cox and Democrat Gary Peters.

My wife and I had been discussing the upcoming elections, and a political ad came on my TV praising Cox's firearms stance and NRA support and booing Peters' gun control platform while she was in the kitchen fixing dinner.

I yelled out to the kitchen, "Which do you prefer Cox or Peters?"

Her reply was, "Neither, I have a headache." [Big Grin]

Maybe he just went home..

After giving a speech at an elementary school, President Bush lets the kids ask questions.

"How come you invaded Iraq without the support of the U.N.?" asks one boy.

Just as Bush begins to answer, the recess bell rings and he says they'll continue afterward.

Half an hour later the kids come back in. "Where were we?" says George.

"Oh, yes—does anyone want to ask me anything?"

A different boy raises his hand and says, "I have three questions:

First, why did you invade Iraq without support from the U.N.?

Why did the recess bell go off 20 minutes early?

And, lastly, where the hell is Billy??
