Vacations can last for months. You travel in August, return in September, get your bills in October, get your health back in November and your luggage back in December. [Big Grin]

You know it's going to be a BAD DAY when...

You wake up face down in a garbage dumpster.

You jump out of bed in the morning and miss the floor.

You turn on the morning news, and they're showing emergency routes out of your city.

Your bar of Ivory soap sinks.

You put both contact lenses in the same eye.

The bird singing outside your window is a vulture.

Your horn gets stuck when you're following a group of Hell's Angels on the freeway.

Your pet rock snaps at you.

Your twin sister forgets your birthday.

You wake up to discover that your waterbed broke, and then realize that you don't have a waterbed.

Your income tax refund check bounces.

Your blind date turns out to be your ex-spouse.

You realize it's April 1st and you've just been fooled. [Big Grin]

A newsboy was standing on the corner with a stack of papers, yelling, "Read all about it. Fifty people swindled! Fifty people swindled!"

Curious, a man walked over, bought a paper, and checked the front page. Finding nothing, the man said, "There's nothing in here about fifty people being swindled."

The newsboy ignored him and went on, calling out, "Read all about it. Fifty-one people swindled!" [Big Grin]

Results of a contest for "theories"

GRAND PRIZE WINNER

When a cat is dropped, it always lands on its feet, and when toast is

dropped, it always lands with the buttered side facing down.

I propose to strap buttered toast to the back of a cat; the two will

hover, spinning inches above the ground . With a giant buttered cat array, a

high-speed monorail could easily link New York with Chicago.

RUNNER-UP #1:

If an infinite number of rednecks riding in an infinite number of pickup

trucks fire an infinite number of shotgun rounds at an infinite number of

highway signs, they will eventually produce all the world's great literary

works in Braille.

RUNNER-UP #2:

Why Yawning Is Contagious: You yawn to equalize the pressure on your

eardrums. This pressure change outside your eardrums unbalances other

people's ear pressures, so they must yawn to even it out.

RUNNER-UP #3:

Communist China is technologically underdeveloped because they have no

alphabet and therefore cannot use acronyms to communicate ideas at a

faster rate.

RUNNER-UP #4:

The earth may spin faster on its axis due to deforestation. Just as a

figure skater's rate of spin increases when the arms are brought in close to the

body, the cutting of tall trees may cause our planet to spin dangerously fast. [Big Grin]

Way down upon the Mississippi, two tugboat captains who had been friends for years, would always cry "Aye!" and blow their whistles whenever they passed each other.

A new crewman asked his boat's mate, "What do they do that for?"

The mate looked surprised and replied, "You mean that you've never heard of an aye for an aye and a toot for a toot?"
