I want to punch them in the face. These people never have a quick question...it drags on and on and on. They just say that to pretend like they are not really going to waste anybodys time, but they do at length. Registered: Jun 99 posted 09-05-2009 01:32 PM                     I’ll tell you something that’s starting to make me more and more nuts: keeping digital media codecs and file extensions straight. This last week I took an IMX50 camera original and loaded it into an Avid server in the .MXF format. When the editor was done with his conform he sent it back to me as an .AAF file which contained an .MXF, .WAV, and an .EDL file. The .MXF file, in order to work in my device (a Nucoda FilmMaster HD) had to be converted into its native .DPX format. When I was done grading the .DPX, I dumped the .WAV and exported the .DPX to an Avid Nitris in two streams: a DNxHD30 file for offline and editorial review, and a DNxHD 145 stream for mastering (DNxHD being, of course, Avid’s take on the SMPTE VC-3 standard). Meanwhile, another guy pulled the same .AAF file and ran the .WAV thru ProTools, and exported that to the same server as an .AIFF file. It was married to the DNxHD 145 file via time code, and the whole thing was laid off onto HDCamSR. While I personally hate coffee with an extreme amount of passion (note, this is why the sides of my teeth are still white), I went to go get a Starbucks for my mom who is all but crippled because she wanted one. Lo and behold Starbucks has these lids with holes in them so that coffee can splash out over every little bump you hit. Now my car smells like coffee. I feel like cementing my nose shut as I cannot stand that smell. But why would Starbucks create such an insidiously stupid lid design? There should not be a god damn hole there unless the customer punches through the plastic, y'know, like every other beverage lid from every other restaurant. This is the best design they could come up with after all of their years in business? I hope every corporate member of Starbucks gets gonorrhea. They deserve it. And all employees while I'm at it. They're also a bit on the pricey side like Ruth's Chris. Copeland's doesn't have any locations in Colorado unfortunately. The nearest ones to me are in Dallas; Broken Bow, OK and Rogers, AR. I'm not very fond of the Lone Star Steakhouse location here in Lawton. Outback Steakhouse is better, but more expensive. Santa Fe Steakhouse is a little more reasonable. They make a good 16 oz. Rib Eye. I've had some good steaks at Chilis. If I'm in the Oklahoma City area I like getting a steak at Charleston's, usually the one in Norman. The steaks are typically very good and the service is excellent. And this brings me to something else that drives me insane: my liver. My liver makes too much freaking cholesterol. I really enjoy a good steak. Unfortunately, since I have type A+ blood my liver is more likely to squeeze out lots of "blood mud" into my blood stream like the Play-doh Fun Factory whenever I eat anything with a significant amount of fat in it -like a rib eye steak. My dad has O+ blood. He can eat heavy bacon, eggs and sausage breakfasts and lots of other meat dishes and his cholesterol rarely gets above 150. According to the book Eat Right for Your Type I pretty much need to be a vegetarian. That sucks. I'm able to push my cholesterol level down under 200 by exercising regularly, which has to include a good bit of running in addition to the bicycling. I'm trying to avoid getting on cholesterol reducing medicine for the potential harm it can do to the liver. But every now and then I get my platelet donation test results back from Oklahoma Blood Institute and the cholesterol level is 20 or 30 points above 200. They do it so that they can win a prize for some lame organization they are part of, like Boy Scouts. When these children are related to you, you are expected to buy their shit because they are family. It is supposed to be oh-so-cute when these li'l tykes come up to you with a clipboard and ask you to buy some schlock. Then their idiot parents tell you that if you want more than one item, put them under different names so the li'l hoser can get more points or some shit. I never, ever give in. I don't want what you are selling. Come back when you are selling a specific TV I am interested in at a deep discount and can provide immediate delivery.
