1. I can only please one person per day. Today is not your day. Tomorrow is
not looking good either.

2. I love deadlines. I especially like the wooshing sound they make as they
go flying by.

3. Tell me what you need, and I'll tell you how to get along without it.

4. Accept that some days you are the pigeon and some days the statue.

5. Needing someone is like needing a parachute. If s/he isn't there the
first time, chances are you wont be needing her/him again.

6. I don't have an attitude problem; you have a perception problem.

7. Last night I lay in bed looking up at the stars in the sky, and I
thought
to myself, where the heck is the ceiling?

8. My reality check bounced.

9. On the keyboard of life, always keep one finger on the escape key.

10. I don't suffer from stress. I am a carrier.

11. You are slower than a herd of turtles stampeding through peanut butter.

12. Do not meddle in the affairs of dragons, because you are crunchy and
taste good with ketchup.

13. Everybody is somebody else's weirdo.

14. Never argue with an idiot. They drag you down to their level, then beat
you with experience.

15. A pat on the back is only a few centimetres from a kick in the butt.

16. Don't be irreplaceable; if you can't be replaced, you can't be
promoted.

17. After any salary raise, you will have less money at the end of the
month
than you did before.

18. The more crap you put up with, the more crap you are going to get.

19. You can go anywhere you want if you look serious and carry a clipboard.

20. Eat one live toad the first thing in the morning and nothing worse
will
happen to you the rest of the day.

21. If it weren't for the last minute, nothing would get done.

22. When you don't know what to do, walk fast and look worried.

23. Following the rules will not get the job done.

24. When confronted by a difficult problem, you can solve it more easily by
reducing it to the question, "How would the Lone Ranger handle this?"

At the local gas utility written orders are issued to change meters when they are old or malfunctioning. On the order sheet is a
"remarks" section, where the service representative notes any problems that prevented the job from being completed.

The most succinct explanation to ever come back was this:

"Dog does not want meter to be changed."

One summer,in almost all store and restaurant windows in Alexandria, Egypt--large signs were posted prohibiting the entry of people with bare feet.

There was, however, a noticeable exception. A small shop off the main street boldly displayed the message 'Bare feet welcome.'

The shop-----The local sandal maker. [Big Grin]

Priceless

One of the funniest most-embarrassing-moment stories I've come upon in a long time was about a lady who picked up several items at a discount store.

When she finally got up to the checker, she learned that one of her items had no price tag.

Imagine her embarrassment when the checker got on the intercom and boomed out for all the store to hear, "PRICE CHECK ON LANE THIRTEEN, TAMPAX, SUPER SIZE." That was bad enough, but somebody at the rear of the store apparently misunderstood the word Tampax for THUMBTACKS.

In a business-like tone, a voice boomed back over the intercom. DO YOU WANT THE KIND YOU PUSH IN WITH YOUR THUMB OR THE KIND YOU POUND IN WITH A HAMMER??

Nuts about You

My sister and I were at the mall and passed by a store that sold a variety of nuts.

As we were looking at the display case, the boy behind the counter asked if we needed any help.

I replied, "No, I'm just looking at your nuts."

My sister started to laugh hysterically, the boy grinned, and I turned beet-red and walked away.

To this day, my sister has never let me forget. [Big Grin]

A taxpayer received a "second notice" that his tax payment wasoverdue.

The next day he went to City Hall, made out a check and apologized for over looking the first notice.

"I'll tell you a little secret," said the tax collector with a smile."We don't send out first notices. We've found that second notices are much more effective." [Frown]

A guy works a new job on Thursday and Friday. On Monday he calls in and says, "I can't come in today. I'm sick."

He works the rest of the week, but the following Monday he calls in and says, "I can't come in today. I'm sick."

The boss asks the foreman about him, and the foreman says, "He's great. He does the work of two men. We need him."

So the boss calls the guy into his office, and says, "You seem to have a problem getting to work on Mondays. You're a good worker and I'd hate to fire you. What's the problem? Anything we can help you with? Drugs? Alcohol?"

The guy says, "No, I don't drink or do drugs. But my brother-in-law drinks every weekend, and then beats on my sister. So every Monday morning, I go over to make sure she's all right. She puts her head on my shoulder and cries, one thing leads to another, and the next thing you know, I'm fucking her."

The boss says, "You fuck your sister?"

The guy says, "Hey, I told you I was sick." [Big Grin]

Morris Cohen owned a large clothing factory.

One day he called all of his employees into the meeting room.
"Ladies and gents" said Morris, "I've called this meeting to introduce my 21 year old son, Sammy, who will be coming to work here.

I want you to treat him like any other employee, not like the man who will be taking over this factory in two years." [Big Grin]

Two guys sat down for lunch in the office cafeteria.

"Hey, whatever happened to Pete in payroll?"one asked.

"He got this harebrained notion he was going to build a new kind
of car," his co-worker replied.

"How was he going to do it?"

"He took an engine from a Pontiac, tires from a Chevy, seats from a Lincoln, hubcaps from Caddy and, well, you get the idea."

"So what did he end up with?"

"Ten years to life." [Big Grin]

A guy walks into a gas station and buys a pack of cigarrettes. He pulls one out and starts smoking it.

The cashier says,"Excuse me sir, but you can't smoke in here."

The guy says, "Don't you think it's kinda dumb that I buy them here but can't smoke them here?"

And the cashier replies,"Not at all...we also sell condoms here." [Big Grin]

A committee is twelve men doing the work of one.

A conclusion is the place where you got tired of thinking.

A consensus means that everyone agrees to say collectively what no one believes individually. - Abba Eban

A conservative is a man who believes that nothing should be done for the first time.

A conservative is a man with two perfectly good legs who has never learned to walk. - Franklin D. Roosevelt

A consultant is an ordinary person a long way from home.

A coup that is known in advance is a coup that does not take place.

A couple of months in the lab can often save a couple of hours in the library.

A crisis is when you cannot say "let's just forget the whole thing." [Big Grin]

A President of a democracy is a man who is always ready, willing, and able to lay down your life for his country.

A backscratcher will always find new itches; a brown-noser will always find new sense.

A bad day fishing is better than a good day at work.

A bird in the bush usually has a friend in there with him.

A bird in the hand is always safer than one overhead.

A bird in the hand is dead.

A bird in the hand makes it hard to blow your nose.

A boss with no humor is like a job that is no fun.

A clean tie attracts the soup of the day.

A closed mouth gathers no foot. [Big Grin]
