Our teacher talks to herself does yours ?

Yes, but she does't realise it, she thinks we're actually listening !

Teacher: Why didn't you answer me ?

Pupil: I did, I shook my head

Teacher: You don't expect me to hear it rattling from here do you !

Teacher: I'd like to go through one whole day without having to tell you off.

Pupil: You have my permission !

Teacher: Will you stop looking at the clock at the wall and pay attention

Time will pass, but will you !

I didn't do my homework because I lost my memory

When did this start ?

When did what start !

When I was you age I thought nothing of walking five miles to school

I agree, I don't think much of it myself !

Be sure that you go straight home

I can't, I live just round the corner !

Playing truant from school is like a credit card

Fun now, pay later !

Laugh and the class laughs with you.

But you get detention alone !

Teacher: Why is the Mississippi such an unusual river ?

Pupil: Because it has four eyes and can't see !

Teacher: What are the Great Plains ?

Pupil: 747, Concorde and F-16 !

Teacher: Where is the English Channel ?

Pupil: I don't know, my TV doesn't pick it up

Pupil: My teacher was mad with me because I didn't know where the Rockies were.

Mother: Well next time remember where you put things !

A Hebrew teacher stood in front of his class and said, "The Jewish people have observed their 5,759th year as a people. Consider that the Chinese, for example, have only observed their4,692nd year as a people.

"Now, what does it mean to you?"

After a moment of silence, a student raised his hand.

"Yes, David," the teacher said, "what does it mean?"

David replied,"It means that the Jews had to suffer without
Chinese food for 1,067 years."

One morning as Professor Jones was leaving for the university his wife told her absent-minded husband,"Don't forget we are moving today. If you come to this house this afternoon it will be empty."

Predictably he didn't remember until he found the house vacated that afternoon. He mumbled to himself,"And where was it we were moving to?"

He went out in front of the house and asked a little girl,"Did you see a moving van here today ?"

"Yes," she replied.

"Would you know which way it went?"

She looked up at him and said,"Yes,Daddy, I'll show you." [Big Grin]

I was teaching a life-skills class to my high school students one day, and we were discussing the various terms one might encounter in a restaurant. I asked,"What does 'a la carte' mean?"

"It means," one student answered, "you're in the wrong restaurant." [Big Grin]

A first grade teacher had a small number of children gathered around a table for a reading group.

After the story was read she gave the children a work sheet to do.

She thought they may have some problems so wantedthem to work on it there.

She heard a little girl say very softly "damn!".

The teacher leaned over and said quietly,"We don't say that in school."

The little girl looked at the teacher, her eyes got very big and she said, "Not even when things are all fucked up?!" [Big Grin]

Professor Jones and his wife were leaving church.

Professor: "Ha, ha! Who's absent-minded now? You forgot your umbrella and left it in church, but I remembered mine and I picked up yours, too."

Wife: "Fine -- but the trouble is, neither you nor I brought an
umbrella to church today!" [Big Grin]

Why are you tearing up your homework notebook and scattering the
pieces around the playground?" a furious teacher asked one of the
kids in his class.

"To keep the buzzards away, sir."

"There are no buzzards around here!"

"Shows how effective it is then, doesn't it, sir?" [Big Grin]

Dedicated to Students Who Have Exams Before the Holiday's Good Luck!

ODE TO FINALS WEEK

Twas the night before finals, and all through the college,
The students were praying for last minute knowledge.
Most were quite sleepy, but none touched their beds,
While visions of essays danced in their heads.

In my own apartment, I had been pacing,
And dreaded exams I soon would be facing.
My roommate was speechless, his nose in his books,
And my comments to him drew unfriendly looks.
I drained all the coffee, and brewed a new pot,
No longer caring that my nerves were shot.

I stared at my notes, but my thoughts were muddy,
My eyes went a blur, I just couldn't study.
"Some pizza might help," I said with a shiver,
But each place I called refused to deliver.
I'd nearly concluded that life was too cruel,
With futures depending on grades had in school.

When all of a sudden, our door opened wide,
And Patron Saint Put-It-Off ambled inside.
Her spirit was careless, her manner was mellow,
She wore a white toga, she started to bellow:
"What kind of student would make such a fuss,
To toss back at teachers what they tossed at us?"

"On Cliff Notes! On Crib Notes! On last year's exams!
On Wingit and Slingit, and last minute crams!"
Her message delivered, she vanished from sight,
But we heard her laughing outside in the night.
"Your teachers have pegged you, so just do your best.
Happy finals to all, and to all, a good test!"

A teacher was correcting exam papers when he came across Peter's
effort: a sheet of paper, blank apart from his name and Act II
Macbeth. Scene V. Line 28.

The teacher reached for his Shakespeare and turned to Macbeth where he found that the 28th line of the fifth scene of the second act read, "I cannot do this bloody thing." [Big Grin]

Mom's Advice

A teacher noticed that a little boy at the back of the class was squirming around, scratching his crotch and not paying attention.

She went back to find out what was going on. He was quite embarrassed and whispered that he had just recently been circumcised and he was quite itchy.

The teacher told him to go down to the principal's office. He was to phone his mother and ask her what he should do about it.

He did it and returned to his class. Suddenly, there was a commotion at the back of the room. She went back to investigate only to find him sitting at his desk with his penis hanging out.

"I thought I told you to call your mom?" she screamed.

"I did," he said, "And she told me that if I could stick it out till noon, she'd come and get me. [Big Grin]
