Chase, thanks for the links. The top hose isn't a problem, I can change that. It's just a bitch that oil sprayed (mist) over half the engine compartment. I detail the engine a few times a year and spray it off when I wash the car at least once a week, weather permitting.
My best friend is the sales/finance manager at the dealership. He explained the problem to the service manager when this first happened, yesterday I stopped by and he said it would be at least $700 to fix (the coolant leak). Only about $100 for the part, but it is labor intensive. $126 an hour. I asked him if this was something I should attempt to replace. I told him I've changed belts, hoses, alternators, water pumps, plugs, plug wires...etc, he just kind of shook his head "no". I agreed, it sounds like a bigger project than I want to attempt right now. I can still drive it to the store and back without it getting close to overheating.
Still debating on what to do with it. Last year I replaced 1 control arm $700 and new tires $500.
The car runs great. It has a K&N intake (which I recharge every few months) and a Borla exhaust system. It has a nice low "purr" to it.
Decisions, decisions...
