Peter Kay One Liners

I saw six men kicking and punching the mother-in-law. My neighbor said,"Are you going to help?" I said,"No, Six should be enough."

You know that look women get when they want sex? No? Me neither.

I saw a woman wearing a sweatshirt with 'Guess' on it. I said,'Thyroid problem?'

I've often wanted to drown my troubles, but I can't get my wife to go swimming.

I went to a restaurant that serves 'breakfast at any time'. So I ordered French Toast during the Renaissance.

A cement mixer collided with a prison van on the Kingston Pass. Motorists are asked to be on the lookout for 16 hardened criminals.

Well I was bullied at school, called all kinds of different names. But one day I turned to my bullies and said - 'Sticks and stones may break my bones but names will never hurt me', and it worked! From there on it was sticks and stones all the way.

If we aren't supposed to eat animals, then why are they made out of meat?

I think animal testing is a terrible idea; they get all nervous and give the wrong answers.

Politicians are wonderful people as long as they stay away from things they don't understand, such as working for a living.

I was the kid next door's imaginary friend. [Big Grin]

You can do anything if you want it bad enough. That is why we see so many people who can fly. (Elden Carnahan, Laurel)

A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step. Of course, so does falling down a flight of stairs. (Richard Doty, Washington)

Never say die. I've tried, and it doesn't actually make people die. (Tom McCudden, Durham, N.C.)

Never underestimate your ability to overestimate your ability. (Donna Lewis, Vienna)

Laughter is the best medicine, but in certain situations the Heimlich maneuver may be more appropriate. (Chuck Smith, Woodbridge)

It takes a village to raise a child to hate all of the people in the next village. (Charles Star, New York)

The key to someone's heart is never lost: It's just that the locks were changed 'cause you're some sort of psycho. (Jean Sorensen, Herndon)

You have to learn to crawl before you can grovel. (Art Grinath, Takoma Park)

If you can keep your head when all about you are losing theirs, you're probably the executioner. (Elden Carnahan, Laurel)

Every dog has his day. Of course, his day consists of smelling other dogs' butts. (Mark Briscoe, Arlington)

You've got to kiss a lot of frogs before you find the prince. But he probably isn't going to be interested in some frog-kisser. (Amanda Richards, Palatine, Ill.)

True beauty is on the inside, where no one will ever see it. (David Iscoe, Washington)

One person can make a difference, if that person is, like, Bill Gates or whatzisname, the speaker of the House of Representatives. (Russell Beland, Springfield)

A high tide lifts all boats, except those with a big gaping hole in the bottom.

I was on a cruise in the Caribbean with my guide dog.

The crew and passengers were fascinated by my dog,and everyone wanted to know: "Where does the dog relieve itself?"

My stock answer seemed to satisfy everyone. "The Poop Deck, of course." [Big Grin]

Accident Excuses

My truck was legally parked as it backed into another vehicle.

I hit a stationary truck that was coming from another direction.

Coming home, I drove into the wrong yard, and collided with a tree I don't have.

The telephone pole was approaching fast. I attempted to swerve out of its path when it hit me.

The guy was all over the road. I had to swerve a number of times before I hit him.

An invisible car came out of nowhere, struck my truck and vanished.

I had been driving my truck for 40 years when I fell asleep and had an accident.

The pedestrian had no idea which direction to go--so I ran over him.

I pulled away from the side of the road, glanced at my Mother-in- law, and headed over the embankment. [Big Grin]

My roommate, Tom, who had never dated much, finally had a chance to take out one of the school's prettiest young women.

However, the event caught him by surprise, and he had no money. He quickly sent off a telegram to his recently divorced father:

"Have date. Send money"

Back came the answer:

"Have money. Send date." [Big Grin]

One of the world's greatest scientists was also recognized as the original absent-minded professor.

One day, on board a train, he was unable to find his ticket. The conductor said, "Take it easy. You'll find it."

When the conductor returned, the professor still couldn't find the ticket. The conductor, recognizing the famous scientist, said, "I'm sure you bought a ticket. Forget about it."

"You're very kind," the professor said, "but I must find it, otherwise I won't know where to get off."

Is It Love?

Bill and Steve are discussing the possibility of love. "I thought I was in love three times," Bill says.

"Thought?" Steve asks. "What do you mean?"

"Three years ago, I cared very deeply for a woman who wanted nothing to do with me," Bill says.

"Wasn't that love?" Steve asks.

"No, that was obsession," Bill explains. "Then two years ago, I cared very deeply for an attractive woman who didn't understand me."

"Wasn't that love?" asks Steve.

"No, that was lust," Bill replies. "And just last year, I met a woman while I was on a cruise. She was gorgeous, intelligent, a great conversationalist and had a super sense of humor. Everywhere I followed her on that ship, I would get a very strange sensation in the pit of my stomach."

"Well, wasn't that love," asks Steve.

"No. That was motion sickness!" Bill replies. [Big Grin]

Signs You've Grown Up:

You watch the Weather Channel.

Jeans and a sweater no longer qualify as 'dressed up.'

You don't know what time Taco Bell closes anymore.

Your car insurance goes down and your payments go up.

Sleeping on the couch makes your back hurt.

Dinner and a movie is the whole date instead of the beginning of one.

You actually eat breakfast food at breakfast time.

90% of the time you spend in front of a computer is for real work

A bloke is sitting by his car at the side of the road looking unhappy. A passer-by sees his glum face and asks what the problem is.

"I've locked myself out of my car," replies the man.

"That's not a problem," replied the passer-by, "Step out of the way, and let me try rubbing my bottom on the door."

The motorist is a bit perplexed, but reckons there's no harm in it in letting the man try - besides, it might be worth a laugh.

The passer-by turns his bottom to the car and slowly rubs it up and down the driver's door.

Suddenly, the lock opens and the passer-by turns and opens the car door.

"That's amazing!" says the motorist, "How did you do it?"

"It's easy," replies the pedestrian, "I'm wearing khaki trousers." [Big Grin]
