In case you needed further proof that the Human Race is doomed through stupidity, here are some actual label instructions on consumer products:

1. On a blanket from Taiwan

- NOT TO BE USED AS PROTECTION FROM A TORNADO.

2. On a helmet mounted mirror used by US cyclists

- REMEMBER, OBJECTS IN THE MIRROR ARE ACTUALLY BEHIND YOU.

3. On a Taiwanese shampoo

- AFTER OPENING, KEEP UPRIGHT.

5. On a New Zealand insect spray

- THIS PRODUCT NOT TESTED ON ANIMALS.

6. In a US guide to setting up a new computer

- TO AVOID CONDENSATION FORMING, ALLOW THE BOXES TO WARM UP TO
ROOM TEMPERATURE BEFORE OPENING.
(Sensible, but the instruction was INSIDE the box.)

7. On a Japanese product used to relieve painful hemorrhoids

- LIE DOWN ON BED AND INSERT POSCOOL SLOWLY UP TO THE PROJECTED PORTION LIKE A SWORD-GUARD INTO ANAL DUCT. WHILE INSERTING POSCOOL FOR APPROXIMATELY 5 MINUTES, KEEP QUIET.

8. In some countries, on the bottom of Coke bottles -

OPEN OTHER END.

9. On a packet of Sunmaid raisins -

WHY NOT TRY TOSSING OVER YOUR FAVOURITE BREAKFAST CEREAL?

10. On a Sears hairdryer -

DO NOT USE WHILE SLEEPING.

11. On a bag of Fritos -

YOU COULD BE A WINNER! NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. DETAILS INSIDE.
(The shoplifter special!)

12. On a bar of Dial soap -

(And that would be how?)

13. On Tesco's Tiramisu dessert (printed on bottom of the box) -

DO NOT TURN UPSIDE DOWN.
(Too late! You lose!)

14. On Marks & Spencer Bread Pudding -

PRODUCT WILL BE HOT AFTER HEATING.
(Are you sure? Let's experiment.)

15. On a Korean kitchen knife -

WARNING: KEEP OUT OF CHILDREN.
(Dammit! Who are they to tell me what to do with my kids?)

16. On a string of Chinese-made Christmas lights -

FOR INDOOR OR OUTDOOR USE ONLY.
(As opposed to use in outer space?)

17. On a Japanese food processor -

NOT TO BE USED FOR THE OTHER USE.
(Now I'm curious.)

18. On Sainsbury's peanuts -

WARNING - CONTAINS NUTS.
(Really? Peanuts contain nuts?)

19. On an American Airlines packet of nuts

INSTRUCTIONS - OPEN PACKET, EAT NUTS.
(I'm glad they cleared that up.)

20. On a Swedish chainsaw -

DO NOT ATTEMPT TO STOP CHAIN WITH YOUR HANDS OR GENITALS.
(What kind of consumer phone-call led to this warning?)

21. On a child's superman costume -

WEARING OF THIS GARMENT DOES NOT ENABLE YOU TO FLY.
(That's right, destroy a universal childhood fantasy!)

22. On some frozen dinners:

SERVING SUGGESTION: DEFROST.

23. On a hotel provided shower cap in a box:

FITS ONE HEAD.

24. On packaging for a Rowenta iron:

DO NOT IRON CLOTHES ON BODY.

(Duh!)

It was many years ago since the embarrassing day when a young woman, with a baby in her arms, entered his butcher shop and confronted him with the news that the baby was his and asked what was he going to do about it?

Finally he offered to provide her with free meat until the boy was 16. She agreed.

He had been counting the years off on his calender, and one day the teenager who had been collecting the meat each week, came into the shop and said, "I'll be 16 tomorrow."

"I know," said the butcher with a smile, "I've been counting too, tell your mother, when you take this parcel of meat home, that it is the last free meat she'll get, and watch the expression on her face."

When the boy arrived home he told his mother. The woman nodded and said, "Son, go back to the butcher and tell him I have also had free bread, free milk, and free groceries for the last 16 years and watch the expression on HIS face!"

Little boy is in line with his dad, waiting to check out.

In front of them is a really fat woman.

Little boy looks her over and turns to his dad and says: "She is really big and fat isn't she daddy?"

The father is embarrassed and tries to get son to quiet down.

In a few minutes the little boy yells out: "She is the biggest
woman I have ever seen!"

The father is embarrassed to tears and bends over and tells his son: "We do not talk about people looking different from us, especially if they are fat. Don't do it again."

The little boy got the message and stood for a long time, until the woman's beeper went off.

He then yelled: "Look out daddy, she is backing up!"

A man is pacing in a Maternity waiting room.

Then out comes the nurse.

"Well?" says the father.

The nurse smiles. "It's a boy. But,unfortunatly, he was born without a torso, arms or legs. He's just a head."

Well," the father says, "I will still love love him. He is my son after all."

21 years later, the father takes his son's head out for his first beer.

They walk in, the father carrying the head, and sits down at the bar, putting his son on the stool next to him."

Bartender, I want a strong beer for my son. The strongest you've got!"

The bartender gives him the beer but shakes his head.

The father helps the son take a sip and- Pop! The head grows a torso!

The other people in the bar cheer, but the bartender just shakes his head. The father helps his son take another sip and- Pop!

Two arms appear!

The people cheer and the father is crying with joy.

The son, now a bit tipsy, finishes the beer and- Pop!

Two legs appear!

The people are celebrating, the father is thanking God, but the bartender says nothing.

The son, seriously slammed now, gets upon his new legs and totters outside, on to a road and into the path of an oncoming truck- WHAM!

The bar goes silent in shock. The father is speechless, and the bartender says...."He should have quit while he was still a head!"

Two newborns were talking in the hospital nursery.

The boy looks over at the girl and says "I'm a boy."

The girl looks at him and asks "How do you know?"

He replys "Wait until the nurse leaves and I'll show you.

When she walks out, he pulls back the blanket, sticks his foot in the air, and says "See, blue socks."

A traveler knocked on the door of the house where a cabdriver had told him he could be sexually accommodated. An eye-level panel slid open and a female voice asked what he wanted.

"I want to get screwed," said the man.

"OK, mister, but this is a private club, so slip twenty bucks as an initiation fee through the mail slot," answered the voice.

The man slid his $20 bucks in, the panel was closed. Minutes passed and nothing happened.

He began to pound on the door insistently, and the panel slid open again.

"Hey," exclaimed the sport, "I want to get screwed!"

"What?" said the voice, "Again?"

Most people think life sucks, and then you die.

Not me. I beg to differ. I think life sucks, then you get cancer, then your dog dies, your wife leaves you, the cancer goes into remission, you get a new dog, you get remarried, you owe ten million dollars in medical bills but you work hard for thirty-five years and you pay it back and then -- one day --you have a massive stroke, your whole right side is paralyzed, you have to limp along the streets and speak out of the left side of your mouth and drool but you go into rehabilitation and regain the power to walk and the power to talk and then -- one day -- you step off a curb at Sixty-seventh Street, and BANG you get hit by a city bus and then you die. Maybe. ~ Denis Leary
